What is CMD?
CMD (Craniomandibular Dysfunction) describes functional disorders of the temporomandibular joint and the masticatory muscles. These can be caused by stress, incorrect loading, teeth grinding, or gaps in the teeth. Tensions in the jaw can also trigger discomfort in the head, neck, or back area. In addition, CMD often affects the entire musculoskeletal system. Therefore, precise diagnostics are important to find out the actual causes.
