Aligner Therapy in Stuttgart

Straight teeth – with invisible aligners

What is Aligner Therapy?

Aligner therapy is a modern, virtually invisible method for correcting misaligned teeth. Patients wear transparent, removable plastic aligners that gradually move the teeth into the desired position. Each aligner exerts gentle, controlled pressure and is changed every one to two weeks. The treatment is particularly comfortable, as eating and brushing teeth are possible as usual. Aligners are suitable for many misalignments and offer a discreet alternative to fixed braces.

FAQ

Aligners move the teeth step by step through gentle pressure generated by transparent plastic aligners. Each aligner is worn for one to two weeks and causes a slight adjustment of the tooth position. The sequence of many aligners ultimately creates the planned, straight result.

The duration of treatment depends on the type and extent of the misalignment. In many cases, aligner therapy lasts between four and twelve months. In more complex cases, the treatment may take a little longer, but remains significantly more comfortable and flexible than fixed braces.

Yes, aligners are virtually invisible and can be easily removed for eating, drinking, and brushing your teeth. This means that everyday life remains unrestricted and oral hygiene is very comfortable. However, the aligners should be worn for at least 22 hours a day for optimal results.
